Finding items on this site:
Besides navigating our site using the Main Menu, Site Map or links on some pages, we've provided a Google Search Box on our Home page, Site Map page and this Accessibility page. These allow a search of our website from one place. Search results will open in a new tab in your browser .
Font size changes and browser text size adjustments settings:
The size of the text fonts can be changed in one of two ways:
- At the top of each webpage are 3 font size change buttons

• The left one decreases font size by 3% each time (to a preset minimum).
• The middle one restores font sizes to their original size.
• The right one increases font size by 3% each time (to a preset maximum).Images and the background central panel will not be resized with the use of these buttons (depending on your browser type).
- From your browser:
• Click on Main Menu then View and then click on Zoom In or Zoom Out.
• Different browsers may have the zoom settings in a different place, e.g. in a Tools menu or on a Tools/Zoom menu bar.
• Some browsers provide a keyboard shortcut for zooming, e.g. CTRL+ or CTRL-

Current defaults are:
Text and background colour schemes adjustments:
• header titles text = blue
• general text colour = black
• hyperlinks colour normal/visited = blue
• hyperlinks colour hover/active = red
• centre panel background = pastel rainbow image
• side panels colour = pale plain pink
An alternative background colour scheme is:• header titles text = blue
• general text colour = black
• hyperlinks colour normal/visited = blue
• hyperlinks colour hover/active = red
• centre panel background = standard plain yellow
• side panels colour = pale plain yellowTo switch between the two background schemes, click the button in the top right corner of every page:
to change from Standard Background to the Alternative Background
to restore back to the Standard Background.
NOTE: There is only button on each page as it toggles depending on the background currently in use.
This facility enhances the contrast appearance of our website for some visitors with visibility difficulties.
We currently don't have any text to speech functionality on our website. This might be looked into at a later date for visitors with visibility or reading difficulties.
Text to speech functionality:
Your computer may already have basic text to speech software included as part of your operating system installation. Third party software is also available to purchase and will have enhanced features.
Settings to make the best use of our website:
We've tested our website using Microsoft's Windows Vista and Windows XP operating systems on the the latest versions of the following PC based browsers:

Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera and Google Chrome and Safari.
We found all of these browsers displayed our website as intended with no problems.We tested them using screen resolutions up to 1680 x 1050.
Other operating systems, browsers and device types (mobile phones, game consoles etc) exist but we've not been able to test our website on them.
The main menu bar at the top of the screen requires Adobe Flash Player and is usually installed on most computers. Without it the menu will not be displayed and a logo linked to Adobe Flash Player will be displayed and it can be download for free from there.
If you don't download it then our site can still be navigated using the temporary Menu links that will be displayed instead of the Flash menu or by using the Site Map link at the top of each page.
Cascading Style Sheets are used on this website and conform to W3C CSS level 2.1 validation service:
Java Script is required and is to be enabled for our website functions to work. If Java Script is disabled then enable it.

If the font size change controls and colour change options don't allow you to easily read our site then we can email you a copy of our website pages in PDF format. These of course will be a point-in-time version from when the copy is taken. The PDF file will allow size and colour changes of your choice to be made. You will require Adobe Acrobat Reader to be installed on your computer to open and read a PDF file. Most computers and devices have this installed as standard but if you don't have Adobe Acrobat Reader you can download it for free from
